‘LOVST’ in the Night: Maxx Hemstock Breaks the Silence
At just twenty years old, Maxx Hemstock released ‘LOVST’ unexpectedly as a surprise nobody knew they needed. The sound of his music now fills the air with power that no announcement could achieve because he prepared it in silence. The first track “Black Auden Panties” sets the mood with its dark wordplay while merging gritty beats with sharp production layers. “Kill My Vibe” follows straight after showing Maxx’s willingness to tackle emotions and situations directly. The track “10pm in New York” captures the sensation of navigating the night through empty roads accompanied by streetlights and unnamed emotions.

“DLAMLTRN” and “SSMD” flip the tempo. Their synth-heavy tracks deliver powerful soundscapes that illuminate headphones while maintaining a tough, unpolished quality. “Smoke in Peace” maintains control while slowing down the music but stays true to its roots acting as a peaceful pause from the commotion. “Electricity” takes over the atmosphere with its high energy which makes you bounce off the walls and prevents you from staying still. He shifts gears to “Talkative” by presenting catchy hooks that effortlessly embed themselves in your consciousness. “Sober Up” presents raw emotion with minimal production elements allowing its emotional intensity to stand out.
As the “houseparty” starts followed by another high roll, you find yourself entirely engaged. The atmosphere transforms from disorder to serenity while mingling playful moments with thoughtful introspection. The combination of “Glow” and “Grateful” creates a personal and warm atmosphere. The “Flowers (ending)” segment concludes the project with a gentle reflective tone that emphasizes release rather than completion. ‘LOVST’ doesn’t follow rules. Maxx Hemstock created a dynamic work that operates by its own rules and which fully merits the time you invest.
